The Her Edit Guide
How to Choose
Your Leading Edit
Start with the part of your life that needs you most.
Life rarely asks us to focus on only one thing at a time.
You may be caring for your health while raising a family and building a business, working in a demanding career and trying to manage your money while finding your way back to yourself.
Every part of your life matters, but they may not all need the same amount of attention at the same time.
That is why The Her Edit allows you to choose a Leading Edit.
Your Leading Edit reflects the area of your life that needs the most care, energy or direction in your current chapter. It helps personalise your experience so the tools, guidance and content most relevant to you are easier to find.
It is not a label, and it does not define the whole of who you are.
It is simply a way of asking:
What needs my attention now?
Begin With Your Present Chapter
Choosing your Leading Edit is not about deciding which part of your life is most important forever. It is about recognising the season you are in today.
You might be recovering from an illness, preparing to return to work, adjusting to motherhood, working towards a financial goal or developing an idea that has been quietly waiting for your attention.
Begin by asking yourself:
- What is taking up most of my thoughts at the moment?
- Which area of my life feels as though it needs more structure?
- What would make everyday life feel lighter or more manageable?
- Where would I most like to see progress over the next few months?
- What support do I wish I had right now?
Your answers will usually point towards the Edit that should lead your experience.
The Six Edits
Choose the Health Edit if your wellbeing needs greater attention right now.
You may be managing appointments, medication or symptoms. You may be recovering from treatment, rebuilding your energy or trying to create healthier everyday routines.
The Health Edit gives you a place to bring these details together while making room for the emotional reality of caring for your body.
Choose this Edit if your current priority sounds like
“I want to feel more informed, supported and organised around my health.”
Choose the Career Edit if you are thinking about your professional direction.
You may be returning to work, looking for a new role, preparing for an interview, working towards a promotion or questioning whether your current career still fits the woman you are becoming.
The Career Edit helps you organise goals, opportunities, priorities and next steps without expecting you to have your entire future mapped out.
Choose this Edit if your current priority sounds like
“I am ready to become more intentional about what comes next in my career.”
Choose the Money Edit if you want to feel more aware and confident about your finances.
Perhaps you are saving towards something important, trying to understand your spending, rebuilding after a difficult period or working towards greater financial independence.
You do not need to be financially perfect before choosing this Edit. It begins with honesty, awareness and one manageable decision at a time.
Choose this Edit if your current priority sounds like
“I want to understand my money and make choices that support the life I am building.”
Choose the Motherhood Edit if you need support making space for yourself alongside caring for your family.
Motherhood can bring love and purpose, but it can also change your identity, routines, relationships and ambitions.
This Edit recognises the woman alongside the mother — her emotions, appointments, priorities, needs and hopes for herself.
Choose this Edit if your current priority sounds like
“I want to care for my family without losing sight of myself.”
Choose the Growth Edit if you are in a season of reflection, healing or personal change.
You may want to journal more regularly, build supportive habits, reconnect with your confidence or understand who you are becoming.
Growth does not always need to be visible. Sometimes it begins quietly, through reflection, rest or the decision to approach your life differently.
Choose this Edit if your current priority sounds like
“I want to reconnect with myself and move forward with greater intention.”
Choose the Business Edit if you are starting, developing or managing something of your own.
Whether your business is still an idea or already growing, this Edit helps you organise priorities, projects, finances, opportunities and your next move.
It also acknowledges the emotional side of building a business — the uncertainty, courage and personal meaning behind the work.
Choose this Edit if your current priority sounds like
“I want to give my business focused attention and turn my ideas into clear next steps.”
What Is Your Supporting Edit?
Your Leading Edit does not require you to ignore everything else.
The Her Edit also allows you to choose a Supporting Edit — a second area that remains important while your main priority receives more attention. For example:
The Leading and Supporting Edits work together because real life does not fit neatly into separate categories.
Your Edit Can Change With You
The Edit you choose today does not need to remain your Leading Edit forever.
A chapter can last for a few weeks, several months or longer. There is no correct timeline. When your needs change, your Edit can change too.
This flexibility is an important part of The Her Edit. You are not being asked to follow one fixed routine or version of yourself. You are being invited to notice what your life needs and respond with intention.
If choosing still feels difficult, start with the area that would bring the greatest sense of relief if it felt more supported.
You do not have to organise your entire life today.
Simply begin with the part that needs you most.
