In the In-Between: Learning, Letting Go and Becoming

Growth

This season of my life has been teaching me just how capable I really am. I’m learning that I can do anything I set my mind to, even when I’m placed in situations that feel unfamiliar or uncomfortable. It’s shown me how adaptable I can be, and in turn, how much more resilient I am than I once believed.

What I’m learning from this is to trust myself and God more. To lean into challenges instead of resisting them, and to see discomfort as a space where growth actually happens. Honestly, it’s not always easy, but it’s helping me build a quieter kind of confidence… one that comes from knowing I can handle whatever I’m faced with, even if I’ve never done it before.

Social Media vs Real Life

Being authentic doesn’t mean I have to share every part of my life online. I balance it by being intentional about what I choose to share. If I’m showing up online, I’ve never wanted to be fake because I value being real and authentic. But for a long time, I’ve also strongly believed that not everything needs to be shared with everyone, whether online or in real life. Some moments are more sacred, and those are the ones I choose to keep private.

For me, balance comes from being honest without feeling the need to over-share everything. I protect the parts of my life that I’m still processing, or moments I want to experience fully with the people closest to me. I’ve realised that privacy doesn’t take away from authenticity; it actually allows it to exist more genuinely. Once I understood that, it made showing up online feel a lot more comfortable and natural for me.

Womanhood

At this stage of my life, womanhood means taking responsibility for the trajectory of my life…creating a home, building for the future, and growing into who I’m meant to be, whilst still appreciating the person I am today. Recently being diagnosed with ADHD, which didn’t come as a surprise, has made this season feel like an even deeper period of self-discovery. It’s helped me better understand who I am, not just as a woman, but also as a neurospicy babe navigating life in my own way.

I’m learning to honour my boundaries, my emotions, and my voice in ways I didn’t always before. I’m no longer trying to prove anything; instead, I’m learning to simply be, to let go more and let God, even when that feels uncomfortable. To me, womanhood is becoming more grounded, more self-aware, and more at peace with my identity, whilst also growing closer to God.

Letting Go

Recently, I’ve been learning to let go of control and the need for everything to be perfect. For a long time, I felt like I had to have everything figured out or going a certain direction, but I’m realising that holding on so tightly can actually hold me back.

I’ve also been releasing the part of me that was scared to dream big and hesitant to go after the things I truly want. I’m no longer allowing fear or doubt to keep me playing small.

I’m learning to trust that things will unfold the way they’re meant to. It’s been a process of being obedient to God and allowing Him to lead. learning to move through life with more ease instead of constantly trying to control every outcome. It doesn’t come naturally to me, but it’s creating space for more peace, growth, and a deeper sense of trust in both myself and in where God is leading me.

Becoming

When I think about the future, I hope to grow into a woman who is deeply confident in herself and her abilities. someone who trusts who she is and isn’t afraid to continue going after what she truly wants. I want to be more aligned with God in everything I do, allowing that relationship to guide how I move, think, and live. I hope to be a woman who can look back and smile at all the things she has achieved.

I hope to build a life rooted in peace, purpose, and financial freedom, and to create a home with my husband that feels safe, loving, and intentional. Most importantly, I want to be part of breaking generational patterns…building something that not only changes my life, but creates a different foundation for my family and those who come after me.

Message to Other Women

I would say that it’s okay to still be figuring things out, but be intentional about the steps you take towards becoming the woman you want to be. Whilst you’re in that season of figuring things out, don’t be too hard on yourself about timing…you’re not behind. Take things in bite-sized steps, and as long as you’re not stagnant and are making progress, no matter how big or small, you should be proud of yourself. You’re not where you used to be, and that matters. Focus on the present and how you can keep moving forward.

Life isn’t about having everything perfectly mapped out; it’s about growing into who you’re meant to be, step by step and enjoying the process to some extent. Permit yourself to change, to outgrow things, and to start again if you need to…. There’s no limit to how many times you can begin again. It’s better to try and fail than to live with the question of “what if.” Trust that where you are right now is part of your journey, not a sign that you’ve missed it. And most importantly, trust that God is guiding you, even in the moments that feel uncertain.
